Rita Ora and Taika Waititi are red carpet official!
The pair, who first sparked romance rumors in April, made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Suicide Squad premiere in Los Angeles – Taika stars as Ratcatcher in the DC film.
Walking in to the event hand-in-hand, Rita and Taika were all smiles as they posed for photos and also showed off their playful side, sharing a laugh at one point. The 30-year-old singer rocked a white Azzi & Osta mini dress with an open back and cutout details while the 45-year-old actor and filmmaker looked sharp in a gray suit paired with a white dress shirt and black dress shoes.
As mentioned earlier, the couple began sparking romance rumors in April after the “Let You Love Me” singer shared a photo hugging the actor on Instagram. The pair was in Australia at the time where they were both working on projects – Taika was filming Thor: Love And Thunder; Rita was a coach on The Voice Australia.
They continued to fuel dating speculations as they were spotted packing on the PDA in the land Down Under in the weeks that followed. In May, photos of the two of them cuddling alongside Tessa Thompson made headlines. Taika later addressed the photos in an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald in July, saying he was “not really” upset about the photos going viral.
“I think in the world of the internet, everything goes away pretty quick,” he added. “And also, ‘Is it that big a deal?’ No, not really. I was doing nothing wrong. It’s fine.”
Rita was previously linked to filmmaker Romain Gervais. Taika quietly split from wife Chelsea Winstanley in 2018 after seven years of marriage – the pair shares two children together.
