Ryan Gosling recently shared some heartwarming sentiments about his partner, Eva Mendes, in an interview with Men’s Health, solidifying her status as his ultimate hero.

In response to a question about his heroes, Gosling didn’t hesitate to name Mendes as his top inspiration. “Well, Eva, obviously,” he declared with genuine admiration.

Alongside Mendes, he also credited his uncle Bill for his unwavering support during times of self-doubt. Gosling fondly recalled how his uncle’s belief in him when he was struggling to believe in himself served as a beacon of encouragement. “When I was in school, he said, ‘I’m gonna put all your achievements in a scrapbook.’ I didn’t want the scrapbook to stay empty. Uncle Bill believed in me at a time when I didn’t really believe in myself.”

When asked about his culinary skills and favorite family dish, Gosling revealed his penchant for Moroccan chicken bastilla, a dish he takes pride in preparing for his loved ones. It’s a testament to his commitment not only to his craft but also to nurturing his family life.

As Gosling continues to promote his latest film, “The Fall Guy,” where he portrays a stuntman on a movie set, he reflected on the extent to which he’s willing to push himself in pursuit of authenticity in his roles. Despite the physical demands of his profession, Gosling’s priorities remain crystal clear: family always comes first.

“I just tend to go deathbed with everything,” he explained, revealing his introspective approach to decision-making. Gosling shared that he often contemplates what will truly matter to him in the end and places paramount importance on his family above all else. While he acknowledged that his intense commitment to his roles might not always be beneficial, he finds solace in the clarity it provides. “I often think about what’s going to matter to me on my deathbed, that I did and that I didn’t do. It puts things into perspective. It always comes back to family first. I don’t think I’ll regret anything professionally, but I do think when it comes to Eva and the girls, they come first. I don’t know, it’s probably not a good thing that I go deathbed, but it’s helpful for me. Anytime I’m struggling, I just think about whether it’s going to matter to me then because, yeah, this whole thing can be distorting.”

For Gosling, ensuring that his actions align with his values and priorities, particularly in relation to Mendes and their children, is paramount.

In celebrating Mendes as his hero, Gosling not only highlights her profound impact on his life but also underscores the importance of unwavering support and love in nurturing personal and professional growth. Through his candid remarks, Gosling offers a glimpse into the depth of his admiration and appreciation for Mendes, reaffirming the power of love and connection in shaping one’s journey through life.
