Sarah Paulson is opening up about her deep friendship with Pedro Pascal.

The two actors went to the NYU Tisch School of Arts together when they were younger. Now, in Pedro’s new Esquire cover story, Sarah revealed that she helped support him during his early acting days.

Pedro shared that at the beginning of his acting career, he struggled to make ends meet as he went through auditions. Sarah then shared how she helped him out back in the day by supporting him financially. She said:

“He’s talked about this publicly, but there were times when I would give him my per diem from a job I was working on so that he could have money to feed himself.”

She went on to speak highly about her friend, proudly saying about Pedro:

“[Now] everybody wants a piece of him. You just have to succeed. And that to me, I feel like, is the sign of a major movie start.

I’m ready for him to take the reigns from the guys from romantic comedies past, like Bruce Willis and Mel Gibson and all these guys.”
