Some fans may have forgotten this, but once upon a time, Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds were one of the hottest celebrity couples in Tinseltown. And now, the Marvel star is opening up about her previous marriage to the Deadpool actor.
In an appearance on the latest episode of Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop podcast, the 38-year-old actress chatted about her marriages. Scarlett and Gwyneth are both integral parts of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It all began when Gwyneth asked her:
“You’ve been married two times?”
To this, Scarlett corrected her by replying:
“Three times.”
Gwyneth responded:
“Oh that’s right, because I forgot that you were married to Ryan Reynolds! Goals!”
Scarlett then said:
“Yes! We weren’t married very long, but we were when I first met you, for Iron Man [2] or whatever.”
Gwyneth then said:
“We love a good Ryan Reynolds in our house.”
Scarlett sweetly stated:
“He’s a good guy.”
Scarlett and Ryan were married from 2008 to 2011. She wed French journalist Romain Daurlac in 2014 and they split up in 2017. She and Romain share an eight-year-old daughter, Rose.
She is now married to SNL’s Colin Joust and they are parents to one-year-old son Cosmo.
