Breakup rumors have been swirling around Scott Disick and Sofia Richie for weeks – since he left rehab. And multiple outlets are reporting that they have gone their separate ways.
Us Weekly first reported that the couple “are on a break.”
And a source tells E! that “They are technically ‘split’ but Sofia has been in touch with Scott,” adding that “it’s very likely they will reconcile.”
According to Page Six, the relationship “ran its course” and they are quarantining separately. Other factors also contributed to the breakup, including Scott’s “past traumas.”
“Scott had gone back to his old ways,” the source told the outlet, “and Sofia got fed up.”
Earlier this month, Scott checked himself into a rehab facility – but checked out soon after when a photo of him inside the facility was allegedly leaked to the press.
Scott’s lawyer, Marty Singer, explained Scott’s decision to go into rehab in a statement to TMZ at the time. “In an effort to finally come to terms and deal with the pain that Scott has been silently suffering for many years due to the sudden death of his mother, followed by the death of his father 3 months later, Scott made the decision to check himself into a rehab facility last week to work on his past traumas,” he said in the statement.
Page Six also adds that Scott’s relationship with ex Kourtney Kardashian, with whom he shares three children – 10-year-old Mason, 7-year-old Penelope and 5-year-old Reign – may have put a strain on their relationship.
“Kourtney didn’t make it easy for her,” the source claimed, “and you can only tolerate that kind of treatment for so long.”
In recent weeks, Sofia has been spotted hanging out with a mystery man – no Scott sightings in any of those outings – which first sparked split speculations.
When Scott celebrated his birthday on Tuesday (May 26), the Kardashian-Jenner clan threw him a birthday bash – Sofia was presumably not in attendance as she wasn’t in any of the pictures posted on social media.
Scott, Kourtney and their three kids had also enjoyed a family trip to Utah for Memorial Day Weekend, hitting up one of Kourt’s favorite resorts, Amangiri.
So far, neither Scott nor Sofia have publicly commented on their current relationship status. Their reps are also yet to respond to requests for comments.
