Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega got the gang back together again.

The stars reassembled the Scream cast “Core 4” that included Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown. The actresses reunited with the Scream cast at MPTF’s 17th Annual Evening Before Gala. The Melissa, Jenna, Mason, and Jasmin have been together since the beloved film franchise’s reboot with 2022’s Scream V and then back again for 2023’s Scream VI.

The Scream reunion likewise included cast members Liana Liberato, Tony Revolori, Jack Quaid, and Skeet Ulrich. Skeet played Melissa and Jenna’s on-screen father – and was the OG Ghostface in the first film.

Melissa was fired from Sream VII after she shared a social media post on the Israel-Hamas conflict. Spyglass Media believed her stance on the conflict was antisemitic, saying in a statement:

“We have zero tolerance for antisemitism or the incitement of hate in any form, including false references to genocide, ethnic cleansing, Holocaust distortion or anything that flagrantly crosses the line into hate speech.”

A few days after she was let go, Melissa broke her silence to double down on her stance. She said on social media that she felt having a platform “allows me the privilege of being heard, and therefore I have tried to use it to raise awareness about issues I care about and to lend my voice to those in need.

I will continue to speak out for those that need it Mose and continue to advocate for peace and safety, for human rights and freedom.

Silence is not an option for me.”

Jenna, who played Melissa’s on-screen sister, dropped out of the seventh installment of the franchise a day later. She cited scheduling conflicts.
