Hold up – there’s fresh music from the 31-year-old singer and actress. She’s just dropped the first single from her upcoming SG3 album. It’s called “Single Soon,” and she’s belting out in the chorus:
“I’m pickin’ out this dress / Tryin’ on these shoes / ‘Cause I’ll be single soon / I’ll be single soon / I know he’ll be a mess / When I break the news / But I’ll be single soon / I’ll be single soon.”
The beats were cooked up by Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat, while the video magic was woven by Philip Andelman, starring none other than Selena’s little sis Gracie.
Selena has rolled out three albums with Selena Gomez & The Scene, and three more on her own. Talk about a track record!
Just last week, Selena gave us a sneak peek of “Single Soon” and let us in on what’s up with her upcoming SG3 album. She posted on Instagram:
“Y’all have been asking for some new music for a while.
Since I’m not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer. ‘SINGLE SOON.’ August 25th.”
Oh, and did you catch her remix of Rama’s “Calm Down”? It’s been shaking up the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for the past few weeks, comfortably hanging out in the Top 10.
SG3’s following in the footsteps of her previous album, “Rare,” which dropped in 2020.
