Shaun White and Nina Dobrev make one incredibly cute celebrity pair — and his recent comments about her have just further cemented their #couplegoals status.
In a new interview for People, Shaun opened up about Nina and what he said is making countless hearts melt.
The 35-year-old spoke about how Nina has been supporting him and how her faith in him has been such a huge source of inspiration. He shared:
“Nina’s incredible. What an influence on my life.
Not only does she run her own show, her own world, companies she’s involved in, things she’s producing, all this stuff going on… She holds me to this same high standard which is so wonderful to have in a partner.”
Shaun also revealed how challenging it is for him as Nina is filming a project in Canada amidst the pandemic:
“That was probably one of the toughest things because I couldn’t get into Canada. I tried! I was turned around. I was like, ‘C’mon, I was at the Olympics here. You remember? I cut my hair!’”
He went on to say that throughout the difficulties, they’ve been able to have a solid little system in place to make sure that they are always in touch and connected:
“It’s one of those things where we have a nice little system of how to stay in touch. Plane tickets are pretty much booked for any opportunity to see one another.
I know during the holidays we’re going to meet up around Christmastime. Anything that happens in between then, I’ll jet over and see her.”
Shaun concluded by sweetly saying about their relationship:
“You just make it work, that’s just the goal and key to it all.”
So sweet.
Shaun and Nina were first linked back in March 2020 when they were seen on a bike ride together. The two made things Instagram official in the cutest way in May 2020, with Nina documenting herself giving Shaun a quarantine haircut:
“Adding to resume: hairdresser.”
Back in June, Shaun shared the plans he had for their one-year anniversary:
“I wanted to recreate our first date, but everything was closed. I managed to sweet talk the owner of the place to open up for us. It was actually pretty fun to have a place all to ourselves.”
