Ariana Grande has hinted she’s coming out with new music, but she still managed to surprise fans when she announced Wednesday (October 14) morning: “I can’t wait to give u my album this month.”
Yes, you read that right: “this month” – it’s going to drop this October.
Right now, not much is known about her upcoming sixth album. However, fans will recall that earlier this year, Ari revealed that she was working on a song with Doja Cat. She also told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe that she had set up a home studio – but that fans shouldn’t expect new music anytime soon.
“I don’t really feel comfortable putting anything out right now, because it’s just like other than this, it’s a really tricky time for all of that,” she said at the time.
Then, in September, she tweeted what appears to be a lyric, “Know my love infinite nothing that i won’t do,” as well as a snippet of a new song.
Her last album, Thank U, Next, dropped in early 2019 – it came on the heels of 2018’s Sweetener. Yes, it’s been more than a year, but Ari hasn’t exactly been away from the music scene since her last album release. Earlier this year, she and Justin Bieber teamed up for “Stuck With U,” and, more recently, she collaborated with Lady Gaga for Mother Monster’s “Rain on Me.”
