The Flash director Andy Muschietti is finally speaking out about the movie’s very controversial star, Ezra Miller.

Andy screened the film in LA, and there, he said:

“Ezra is well now.”

Outlets report that Andy went on to say about the actor:

“We’re all hoping that they get better… They’re taking the steps to recovery.

They’re dealing with mental health issues, but they’re well. We talked to them not too long ago, and they’re very committed to getting better.”

Of directing Ezra, Andy had glowing things to say:

“Ezra is an extraordinary actor. It’s probably… Not probably, it’s one of my best experiences working with an actor ever. They’re brilliant. Their contributions are constant. And also, they like to play and they like to do more takes than I do, which is a lot.

They’re full of incredible emotions. They bring them to the set every time. And they’re an incredible comedian also, which is something that I wasn’t fully prepared for.”

The 30-year-old star was arrested many times in Hawaii for assault. They were also accused of harassing a woman in Germany and choking someone in Iceland, as well as hosting three young children and their mother in an “unsafe environment” in Vermont.

They have been charged with felony burglary and Vermont and face, accusations of having an inappropriate relationship with a young person that they met when that person was just 12.

Ezra said last year:

“I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment.”
