Tom Hiddleston is soaking up the sun in sunny Ibiza, Spain – and he’s not alone. Handmaid’s Tale actress Zawe Ashton is with him – and the two looked all loved up during a beach day on Wednesday (September 15).
Tom and Zawe were photographed enjoying a dip in the ocean – and sharing a kiss during their time in the water. The Loki star went shirtless, sporting black swim trunks with his fit physique on display while the 37-year-old actress sported a blue bikini with a bold print during their vacation with friends.
Their Spanish island getaway is the first public sighting of the rumored couple in a romantic light. The two co-starred together in the 2019 Broadway play Betrayal, and have since been romantically linked. Neither have publicly confirmed it though.
When news of their rumored romance first made the rounds, a source close to both actors told The Sun that Tom and Zawe were just “close friends.”
However, another source claimed that “Tom really has fallen for Zawe in a big way,” telling the outlet that the actor is just “so paranoid about his private life since his relationship with Taylor [Swift] that he has gone to great lengths to keep this under wraps.”
In case you didn’t know, Tom famously dated Taylor Swift in 2016. While neither have publicly discussed the breakup, he once told GQ, “A relationship in the limelight… A relationship always takes work. A relationship in the limelight takes work. And it’s not just the limelight. It’s everything else.”
Reports came out last year that the two were living together in Atlanta, Georgia while Tom was filming Loki.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Zawe will be joining her rumored beau in the Marvel Cinematic universe – she has been cast in a villain role in the upcoming Captain Marvel 2.
