Fans are freaking out about Tom Holland’s latest comments about filming their upcoming movie Spider-Man: No Way Home.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Tom opens up about his close bond with his co-stars and admits to wondering if their forthcoming flick would be the last time the three of them will be working together.

“We’ve been making these films for five years now,” Tom told EW. “We’ve had such an amazing relationship, the three of us. We’ve been with each other every step of the way.”

“We’ve done every single film, every single press tour,” he continued. “So this one scene, [we didn’t know] if this would be the last time [we were all working together.] [It] was heartbreaking but also really exciting because we’re all moving into the next chapter of our careers. So sharing that moment with them was maybe the best day I’ve ever had on set. I don’t think I’ve cried like that ever.”

“We were all treating [No Way Home] as the end of a franchise, let’s say,” Tom added. “I think if we were lucky enough to dive into these characters again, you’d be seeing a very different version. It would no longer be the Homecoming trilogy. We would give it some time and try to build something different and tonally change the films. Whether that happens or not, I don’t know. But we were definitely treating [No Way Home] like it was coming to an end, and it felt like it.”

In another interview, his co-star (and rumored girlfriend) Zendaya recently opened up about what she appreciates the most about Tom.

“There are many things, obviously, that I appreciate,” Zendaya told InStyle. “In an actor way, I appreciate that he really loves being Spider-Man. It’s a lot of pressure—you take on the role of a superhero wherever you go. To the little kid who walks by, you are Spider-Man. I think he handled that so well.”

“And seeing him at work, even though he’s not a Virgo, he is a perfectionist,” she jokingly added, and went on to cite an example.

“Our director allowed me to come in every day [of the shoot],” she explained. “And it was cool to see how he cares so much about his work and making it right. I watched him do a fight scene all day, which is exhausting. He’d do a move, come back to the monitors, watch it, and say, ‘I can do that better.’ I’d be like, ‘Dude, you got it.’ But he wants us to be perfect, and I really appreciate that.”

She also described her British co-star as “a fun time” and “very charismatic,” noting that he “can make anybody feel comfortable and have a good laugh and a good chat.”

Tom and Zendaya have co-starred together in the Spider-Man films for four years – beginning with 2017’s Spider-Man: Far From Home – and fans have been shipping the two of them since. They were even given the ship name “TomDaya.” At first, both shut those dating speculations down, laughing it off and insisting they were just “best friends.”

TomDaya dating rumors got a second wind in July though, when photos of the two kissing inside Tom’s car and attending a wedding together went viral online. While neither have publicly confirmed what their actual relationship status is, many are convinced that Tom’s super sweet post for Zendaya’s birthday (September 1) on Instagram is confirmation that they are indeed a couple.

“My MJ, have the happiest of birthdays. Gimme a call when you’re up xxx,” Tom captioned a mirror selfie with his co-star in the dressing room – to which Zendaya replied, “Calling now,” with a red heart emoji in the comments.
