As everyone tries to make sense of the Astroworld tragedy that took the lives of eight and injured hundreds and navigate the aftermath, Travis Scott is reaching out to do more to help the loved ones of the victims.

On Friday (November 5), a “mass casualty” took place at Travis’ Astroworld Festival concert during his performance. Since then, Travis has released a statement addressing the tragic incident, and it’s been reported that he would be issuing full refunds to all those who were in attendance at the concert.

Now, it has been announced that the 30-year-old rapper will be shouldering the costs of the funerals of the eight attendees who were killed that day. The victims, whose ages ranged from 14 to 27 years old, died as the crowd surged towards the stage during Travis’ set.

Travis and his Cactus Jack Foundation are also said to be partnering with BetterHelp, an online portal which provides direct mental health support. The partnership aims to offer free one-on-one virtual therapy sessions with a licensed therapist for those affected in the wake of the tragedy.

A statement released from Travis’ camp reads:

“Travis remains in active conversations with the city of Houston, law enforcement and local first responders to respectfully and appropriately connect with the individuals and families of those involved.

These are the first of many steps Travis plans on taking as a part of his personal vow to assist those affected throughout their grieving and recovery process.”

In more Astroworld-related news, Kendall Jenner and Kim Kardashian have spoken out about the tragedy. Kendall and Kim are sisters of Kylie Jenner, who is in a relationship with Travis and is pregnant with their second child.

Kendall, who was in attendance at the concert with Kylie, wrote on Instagram:

“I’m still at a loss for words over the news from Astroworld. I’m truly broken for the families that have lost loved ones and my prayers go out to everyone involved.

Sending everyone who has been affected all of my love and wishing them strength during this incredibly devastating and sensitive time.”

Kim likewise took to Instagram to share her thoughts:

“Absolutely heartbroken for the lives who were lost and anyone who was hurt at Astroworld. Just like all of you, our family is in shock by the tragedy. We are keeping all of the victims, families and loved ones impacted in our prayers for healing — as well as Travis who we know cares so much about his fans and is truly devastated.”

Drake, who performed alongside Travis on Friday night, has also broken his silence on the horrific event. In a statement released via Instagram, the 35-year-old singer wrote:

“I’ve spent the past few days trying to wrap y mind around this devastating tragedy. I hate resorting to this platform to express an emotion as delicate as grief but this is where I find myself.

My heart is broken for the families and friends of those who lost their lives and for anyone who is suffering.

I will continue to pray for all of them, and will be of service in any way I can. My God be with you all.”
