Is Vanessa Hudgens returning to High School Musical?
Speculations have been rampant on a potential appearance by Vanessa on High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. The 33-year-old actress starred as Gabriella Montez in the massively successful High School Musical films.
Many weeks ago, it was announced that six stars from the HSM films will be returning to the franchise for the upcoming fourth season of the HSMTMTS series. Vanessa, however, was not part of the announcement.
Over the summer, fans went into a frenzy after Vanessa paid a visit to East High School in Salt Lake City, Utah, where High School Musical was filmed. She shared a photo on social media of herself posing in front of the school, and speculations of a potential return reached fever pitch.
Now, Vanessa is clearing the air on whether she will be returning to High School Musical. In a new interview with EW, she simply stated:
“I don’t know. We’ll leave it up to water. Leave it up to the gods.”
She also shared how that viral photo came to be:
“My boyfriend [Cole Tucker] was playing in Salt Lake — he’s a baseball player. So he was at the field and I had rented a car and I was like, ‘I want to go check it out and take some pictures for old time’s sake.’”
