The feud between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson is well-known. It’s been around for five years, with the two saying quite a bit over time about their disdain for each other.
Now, it looks like there’s a major update in the infamous tiff!
It all began back in 2016 after the two starred in The Fate Of The Furious, the eighth installment in the Fast And The Furious films. Vin had been part of the franchise from the start, while Dwayne joined for the fifth to eighth installments, and subsequently headlined his own spin-off film, Hobbs & Shaw.
Following the last Fast film the two did together, they traded jabs in interviews and on social media after Dwayne called out Vin on his behavior in a post on Instagram. Dwayne sat out the ninth installment of the series and said that he would never return. He said back in July of this year:
“I wish them well on Fast 9. And I wish them the best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of the Fast & Furious movies they do that will be without me.”
Things seem to be taking a new turn, however.
In a new post on Instagram, Vin is now asking Dwayne to return to the franchise! Check out what he wrote here:
“My little brother Dwayne… the time has come. The world awaits the finale of Fast 10. As you know, my children refer to you as Uncle Dwayne in my house. There is not a holiday that goes by that they and you don’t send well wishes… but the time has come. Legacy awaits.”
Vin went on to speak of a promise he made to the late Paul Walker, who was one of the original stars of the franchise:
“I told you years ago that I was going to fulfill my promise to Pablo [Paul Walker]. I swore that we would reach and manifest the best Fast in the finale that is 10! I say this out of love… but you must show up, do not leave the franchise idle you have a very important role to play. Hobbs can’t be played by no other.
I hope that you rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny.”
Whoa.
Dwayne has not yet responded to Vin’s message.
