Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse are sparking breakup rumors – AGAIN!

Earlier this week, eagle-eyed fans noticed that the Riverdale co-stars appeared to have unfollowed each other on Instagram – and they’re legit freaking out.

Although Cole hasn’t said anything about it, Lili went on Instagram Story to let fans know that “There was a glitch on Instagram everyone, don’t freak out.”

Okay, so the very vague post doesn’t necessarily answer whether they are in fact still together, or if the “glitch” was even what caused them to unfollow each other in the first place. BUT they’re totally back to following each other on the ‘Gram.

Fans have been wondering about their actual relationship status for months. Breakup rumors swirled around the couple last summer, which they seemingly addressed on social media after appearing together on the cover of W Magazine.

Lili went on social media to share their cover with this caption: “BREAKING: A reliable source has confirmed that none of you know s–t.”

Cole also shared the magazine cover, writing, “UNPRECEDENTED: Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart consume the flesh of ‘reliable sources’ to fuel their bacchanalian sex cult.”

Lili also went on Twitter to post, “Don’t believe everything you read on the internet, kids. And news sources should try a little harder to be less vile. ‘Reliable sources’ can kiss my a–.”

Cole previously joked with Entertainment Tonight about being “incredibly” annoyed at the rumors – but he didn’t take them too seriously.

“I don’t care. That’s the nature of our industry,” he told ET.

“I think you have to poke fun of it a little bit,” Cole added. “It’s kind of something you sign up for, but

By September, Lili made it quite clear that she and Cole are very much together, calling him her “boyfriend” during her interview with Coveteur magazine.

“I think I’m leaning in towards a character for Halloween,” Lili said, talking about their plans for Halloween. “I think I’m going to do it with my boyfriend, Cole. I don’t want to spoil it if it’s not going to happen, but it’s a TV duo.”

BUT, then they began hitting the red carpet solo at events – Cole walked the People’s Choice Awards red carpet alone in November and Lili did the same thing at the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards earlier this year. It also didn’t help that Cole was spotted leaving a Golden Globe after party with Lily-Rose Depp in January with a bunch of friends and hanging out at celeb-favorite Delilah.

However, a source says the two are just pals, telling E! News, “Cole and Lily-Rose Depp are friends,” and that Lili and Cole are “still together,” TYVM.

Besides, Lily-Rose has been romantically linked with her The King co-star Timothee Chalamet for months!

More recently, Lili got candid about body image and mental health struggles on Twitter, in response to a fan’s question on the topic.

“Actually, not everyone on this show is perfectly chiseled. And even I feel intimidated by the physique of my surrounding cast mates sometimes when I have to do bra/underwear scenes,” she began the five-tweet thread. “I’ve felt very insecure due to the expectation that people have for women on tv, what they should look like. But I have come to terms with my body and that I’m not the kind of person you would see walking on a runway during fashion week. I have bigger boobs, I have cellulite on my thighs/butt, and my stomach sticks out rather than curves in.”

“This is still something I struggle with on a daily basis. And it doesn’t help when I’m being compared to other women,” she continued. “I have gained weight due to depression the last two months and I’ve felt very insecure about it. But I did a recent bra and underwear scene and felt it was my obligation to be strong and show confidence in myself, looking as I do. And I want other young women to see my body on tv and feel comfort in the fact that I’m not a size 0. And I’m not a perfect hourglass shape.”

“This industry struggles with accurate representation of female and male bodies. So I commend the women who have helped our industry take a step in the right ~and authentic~ direction,” she concluded her post, citing Charli Howard as her “favorite role model.”

Many fans have since shown support for the actress on the platform, with several sharing that they view Lili as their role model.
