The 2023 Met Gala honored the incredible legacy of late designer Karl Lagerfeld. It’s fitting, therefore, that the A-list attendees absolutely brought their A game at the event on May 1 (Monday).

The most memorable looks were those who were able to find distinct ways to honor a signature Karl Lagerfeld look – whether it be the distinct accents of his collections ot his personal style itself.

It was an evening of style, glamour, and then some. Here are some of the most memorable looks of the night:

Trains trains trains.

Bad Bunny, Glenn Close, Paris Hilton, Cara Delevingne, Michelle Yeoh, Jenna Ortega, Jennifer Lopez, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Hudgens, Rita Ora, Jeremy Pope, and Anne Hathaway are some of the stars resplendent in magnificent trains.

Cats.

Another major theme paid homage to Karl’s beloved Choupette. Doja Cat in feline facial prosthetic. Lil Gas X as Choupette in Detox. Janelle Monae in custom Thom Browne with a Choupette-inspired bag. Jared Leto cosplaying as Choupette himself.

Olivia Wilde and Margaret Zhang.

The ladies both served in the Chloe SS83 Violin dress – Margaret in the OG black, Olivia in the reimagined white.

Amanda Seyfried.

A vision in gold and curls in Oscar de la Renta.

Ke Huy Quan.

Looking dashing in an ensemble that was very much a homage to the designer’s personal style.

Dua Lipa.

She rocked the dress from Claudia Schiffer’s original runway appearance.

Nicole Kidman.

A ravishing sight in her dress from her 2004 Channel No.5 commercial.

Kristen Stewart.

The androgynous look was very much the “this is what you came for” moment of the gala.

Jessica Chastain.

She ditched her signature locks for a bold, very Lagerfeld-esque platinum blonde that slayed.

Pedro Pascal.

Absolutely eye-catching in stylish red. His ensemble – and knee pop – stole the night.

Rihanna

Rihanna was the big finale – a save the best for last moment, if you will. She glided onto the carpet, a show-stopping vision in puffy, silky white faille dress that included 30 camelias composed of 500 petals.
