Cardi B and Billie Eilish are making it clear that there is no bad blood between them — no matter what the internet seems to want to believe.

After Monday’s Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC, where both Cardi and Billie were in attendance and slayed in their outfits, both stars went on to attend a gala afterparty held at The Standard Hotel.

It was at the after party where rumors of shade-throwing and drama first began. An out-of-context video showed Billie mouthing the words “So weird” as Cardi was giving a speech to kick off the bash. As the clip went viral, many began to assume that Billie was mocking Cardi.

But Cardi quickly shut the rumors down.

Taking to Twitter, Cardi wrote:

“I hate the internet cause one, how do y’all turn one of the most lit parties into drama? Two, Ocean eyes is the song I cater to my daughter. Three, Billie is my f**kin baby. Yesterday, from the met to the party, everything was drama free. Why do yall wanna turn everything into mess?”

Along with this, Cardi also shared some voice notes sent between herself and Billie, where Billie expressed her concern that Cardi may have gotten mad upon seeing the clip. Billie said:

“Oh my God, I was so worried you were gonna see that. I was f**king calling the people around you weird because everyone was f**king coming around shoving their phones in your *ss. I was like, ‘Just look at her with your eyes!’”

Cardi responded to Billie’s voice note with one of her own, saying:

“The internet is trying to divide us. They don’t understand that you’re my baby.”
