Chris Evans has done it again – break the internet, that is.
The Captain America star went on Instagram Story to say goodbye to summer with a splash – as in, he posted a video of his shirtless self backflipping into a pool on Tuesday (October 6).
“Last swim before the pool hibernates…(It was freezing!),” Chris wrote on his post. “I wonder what it’s like to be tan.”
Well, it looks like fans definitely appreciated the thirst trap clip.
“I very much appreciate @ChrisEvans’ most recent Instagram Story,” one follower tweeted. “Abs for days.”
But others were surprised to see that his marvel-ous torso was covered in tattoos.
“Was I the only one that didn’t know @ChrisEvans has chest tattoos or…” one fan asked.
“HIS ABS ARE SO F–KING TONED AND OMFG THE F–KING TATTOOS IM F–KING SCREAMING,” another social media user wrote. “IM NOT OKAY. SIR @ChrisEvans BYE”
And one post just about sums up most fans’ sentiment: “THE TATTOOS. THE ABS. THE DOG. I CANT.”

It’s not exactly clear in the video what the tattoo designs are, but there is one tattoo that most fans probably know about – his Avengers ink, which five of the six OG Avengers got.
“Five of the original six Avengers got a tattoo,” Robert Downey, Jr. once told Entertainment Weekly. “And the sixth was the tattoo artist, who gave it to five of us, the one who opted out being Mark Ruffalo. It was (Scarlett) Johansson’s idea, and she and [Chris] Evans did it in New York. Then, their New York guy, Josh Lord, who is amazing, flew out to LA, he did me, did [Jeremy] Renner, and then we just bullied [Chris] Hemsworth into doing it, and he got it.”
ICYMI, last month, Chris became a top trending topic on Twitter after he appeared to have accidentally leaked a NSFW photo on his phone’s camera roll.
Following the social media blunder, fans quickly showed their support by trying to bury the racy pic with other wholesome photos of the actor – like adorable photos of the Chris with his dog, Dodger. Friends also hopped on the platform to make light of the blunder.
He’s since spoken out to address the sitch, going on Twitter a few days later to write, “Now that I have your attention … VOTE Nov 3rd!!!”
