Chris Pratt’s friends and loved ones have his back.

As if 2020 wasn’t dramatic enough, online critics decided to target Chris for his religious affiliation and abstaining from sharing his political views. Then, there were some who decided to start a debate about Hollywood’s famous Chrises – i.e. Hemsworth, Evans, Pine and Pratt – with the internet deciding that Pratt is the “worst Chris”.

Katherine Schwarzenegger is speaking up for her hubby, responding to a post on the poll of Chrises, “Is this really what we need? There’s so much going on in the world and people struggling in so many ways. Being mean is so yesterday. There’s enough room to love all these guys. Love is what we all need not meanness and bullying. Let’s try that.”

Katherine’s mom, Maria Shriver, praised her daughter for speaking out against bullying, tweeting, “As always, I’m proud of this young woman. Proud of what she says and does. We all need more love and kindness in the world.”

Chris’ Marvel co-stars and celeb pals are also sticking up for the Guardians of The Galaxy actor.

Robert Downey, Jr. shared a message for Chris’ detractors on Instagram. “What a world… The ‘sinless’ are casting stones at my #brother, Chris Pratt… A real #Christian who lives by #principle, has never demonstrated anything but #positivity and #gratitude… AND he just married into a family that makes space for civil discourse and (just plain fact) INSISTS on service as the highest value,” he wrote. “If you take issue with Chris,,, I’ve got a novel idea. Delete your social media accounts, sit with your OWN defects of #character, work on THEM, then celebrate your humanness… @prattprattpratt I #gotyerbackbackback (📸 @jimmy_rich )”

Mark Ruffalo also defended Chris, going on Twitter to share, “You all, @prattprattpratt is as solid a man there is. I know him personally, and instead of casting aspersions, look at how he lives his life. He is just not overtly political as a rule. This is a distraction. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize, friends. We are so close now.”

Josh Gad “seconded” Mark’s tweet, adding, “They don’t get better than @prattprattpratt.”

Guardians of the Galaxy director, James Gunn, also came to his defense. “Sorry. Just finding out about this nonsense. @prattprattpratt is the best dude in the world. I’ve spent hours & hours sharing my deepest truths with this man, as he has with me. Please stop assuming what he believes, politically or in any other way, because he’s a Christian.”

So far, Chris has yet to personally address the matter.
