How The ‘Friends’ Characters Would Have Handled Quarantine According To Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston thinks their Friends characters – Rachel, Monica (Courteney Cox), Chandler (Matthew Perry), Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow), Joey (Matt LeBlanc), and Ross (David Schwimmer) – would have done pretty well in quarantine.

“You might have thought the cast of Friends was actually in a quarantine because all they did was hang out in the apartment, aside from the coffeehouse,” she said in an interview with Today.com. “But the boys would have figured out a game to play — the one where they didn’t have to drop a ball for how many days.”

They would have probably added a few things to their routine though – like clapping for the hospital workers every night and occasionally having someone pick up coffee.

“Someone, I think, would probably make the coffee runs,” Jennifer speculated. “And who would have done that? Everyone. Each and every one would’ve shared the duty.”

As for remaining indoors, Jen is pretty sure everyone would be strict about it, “except maybe not Phoebe so much, because she was a free spirit.”

And even if the restrictions have loosened, they would probably still be in their bubble.

“They would be in each other’s pods,” she said. “So as long as they saw each other, which, well, that’s easy. So we would have Ross’ apartment to go to, we would have Phoebe’s apartment to go to, Rachel and Monica’s, and Joey and Chandler’s. So you have four locations so that they wouldn’t go crazy.”

Jen and the rest of the Friends cast recently got together again to film their reunion special – during which she and David confessed to having major crushes on each other on the show, which probably explains why their characters had so much chemistry onscreen.

But her and David’s onscreen chemistry isn’t the only one that made headlines. Jen and ex-husband Brad’s – they were married from 2000-2005 – recent reunions have had fans buzzing as well.

From their reunion at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2019 to their Fast Times at Ridgemont High table read last year, fans have been speculating about the current status of their relationship.

Jen finally addressed those speculations during an interview on The Howard Stern Show.

“Brad and I are buddies, we’re friends,” she said.

And as for their table read, where the former couple shared a spicy scene, “We speak, and there’s no oddness at all, except for everyone that probably watched it and was wanting there to be, or assumed there to be,” Jen added. “We had fun, and it was for a great cause, CORE.”

As for her dating someone new, “I’m interested in finding a fantastic partner and just living an enjoyable life and having fun with one another. That’s all we should hope for. It doesn’t have to be etched in stone in legal documents,” she said.

Marriage is “not on my radar” though and she says she’s “absolutely” not one to go for dating apps.

“I’m going to just stick to the normal ways of dating. Having someone ask you out. That’s the way I would prefer it,” she shared.
