Jennifer Aniston recently opened up about a few changes she’s made in her weekly routine, which involved cutting ties with a few people “who have refused or did not disclose [whether or not they had been vaccinated].”

“There’s still a large group of people who are anti-vaxxers or just don’t listen to the facts. It’s a real shame,” she told InStyle in her September cover interview.

“I’ve just lost a few people in my weekly routine who have refused or did not disclose [whether or not they had been vaccinated], and it was unfortunate,” Jennifer continued. “I feel it’s your moral and professional obligation to inform, since we’re not all podded up and being tested every single day. It’s tricky because everyone is entitled to their own opinion — but a lot of opinions don’t feel based in anything except fear or propaganda.”

However, this prompted some to criticize that the measures she’s taken to be a bit extreme – and Jen went on Instagram to expound on the reason behind her decision.

When a fan asked, “But if [Jennifer’s] vaccinated she’s protected correct? Why be worried about [having unvaxxed people] around her?”, the Friends actress explained “Because if you have the variant, you are still able to give it to me.”

“I may get slightly sick but I will not be admitted to a hospital and or die,” she continued. “BUT I CAN give it to someone who does not have the vaccine and whose health is compromised (or has a previous existing condition) — and therefore I would put their lives at risk.”

“THAT is why I worry,” Jen went on, adding, “We have to care about more than just ourselves.”

In another IG Story, she also posted an embroidery that read, “What doesn’t kill you mutates and tries again.”

This isn’t the first time that Jennifer has encouraged fans to take COVID-19 precautions.

In June of last year, she spoke out in support of wearing masks amid the pandemic, writing on Instagram, “This simple and effective recommendation is being politicized at the expense of peoples’ lives. And it really shouldn’t be a debate.”

Last July, she also revealed that her friend Kevin, who had come down with the virus, was fighting for his life at the hospital.

“Just think about those who’ve already suffered through this horrible virus,” she captioned a photo of Kevin hooked up to machines. “Do it for your family. And most of all yourself. Covid affects all ages.”

Another celebrity helping in the fight against the pandemic is Kanye West, who’s had first-hand experience battling COVID-19.

The rapper offered vaccines to those who attended his second Donda album listening party on Thursday (August 5) at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

The stadium made the announcement on their Twitter, writing, “We are offering Pfizer vaccines to fans attending tonight’s listening party.”

His estranged wife Kim Kardashian previously opened up about the experience of taking care of Kanye at the time.

“It was so scary and unknown. I had my four babies and no-one else in the house to help,” the Keeping Up With The Kardashian star shared at the time.

“It was a challenge because it was so unknown,” she added.

Although Kim filed for divorce from Kanye in February, she continues to show her support for him – she’s attended both Donda listening parties alongside their four children – North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
