In other BAFTA news…

The internet’s boyfriend, Brad Pitt, has been winning the hearts of fans with his hirlarious speeches this awards season.

So, when Brad won a BAFTA Award for his work on Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, count on it to include some jokes. Unfortunately couldn’t be there to accept it in person. However, he did write up a speech for his OUATIH co-star Margot Robbie, who accepted it on his behalf, to read aloud for everyone – and it included some references about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit from the Royal Family.

“Brad couldn’t be here tonight due to family obligations, so he asked me to read his response for him,” Margot said. “He starts by saying, ‘Hey Britain. Heard you just became single. Welcome to the club! Wishing you the best for the divorce settlement, blah blah blah.’ He then says, ‘Thank you to the Academy for this extreme honor.’ He says he’s ‘always been a bit intimidated over here given the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and the titans that have come before, so this is especially meaningful.’”

Later on in the speech, Brad made another reference to Megxit. “He’s gonna name this Harry, because he’s really excited about bringing it back to the states with him,” Margot read aloud.  She ended her time on stage with the disclaimer: “His words, not mine.”

The camera then cut to Kate and William, who were in the audience, and their reactions were a cross between awkward and amused.

Oh, Brad!
