Anya Taylor Joy just dropped a bombshell: she tied the knot in secret!
The 27-year-old actress confirmed that she exchanged vows with musician Malcolm McRae on April Fool’s Day in 2022.
While rumors of their nuptials circulated in 2022, it wasn’t until October 2023 that photos surfaced, hinting at a second wedding celebration. Now, Anya has set the record straight, confirming that they did indeed say “I do” in 2022.
“Two years ago, on April Fools, I secretly married my best friend in New Orleans. The magic of that day is ingrained in every cell of my being, forever,” she revealed on Instagram. “Happy second (first) anniversary, my love… you’re the coolest🫀”
Anya also added, referring to snaps she shared on the social media platform, “Yes, those are anatomically correct heart cakes. Yes, I am the vampire Lestat.”
Accompanying her announcement were photos capturing the essence of their special day, showcasing Anya in a stunning Dior gown for their initial wedding ceremony.
