Bethany Joy Lenz is making a big revelation about her past.
The 42-year-old One Tree Hill star has revealed that she used to be part of a cult.
In the latest episode of Drama Queens, the podcast she hosts with fellow One Tree Hill actresses Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton, Bethany stated:
“I was in a cult for 10 years.”
She said that she had been thinking about telling her story in book form:
“That would be a really valuable experience to write about, and the recovery – 10 years of recovery after that. So there’s a lot to tell.”
Bethany admitted that she shied away from writing a book about it, explaining:
“The pressure of getting it right and everything having to be exactly real and all the people that are involved.
I don’t know how much I can say because there are still people and legal things in place that make it more complicated for the timing of that. But I do write. I write all the time.”
