Billie Eilish is once again using her platform to speak out—and this time, she’s directly calling on her peers to do the same. The 24-year-old Grammy-winning artist has been vocal about her opposition to ICE and recent actions tied to the Trump administration, and she’s making it clear that silence from other celebrities isn’t acceptable.

Late Sunday night (January 25), Billie shared a blunt message on her Instagram Story, posting a selfie with text directed at fellow public figures.

“hey my fellow celebrities u gonna speak up? or,” she wrote.

The call-out follows an emotional and politically charged awards speech Billie delivered last week, during which she openly criticized the government agency and broader policy issues impacting communities across the U.S. Her brother, Finneas, has also been vocal, amplifying similar messages on social media.

In her speech, Billie laid out her concerns in stark terms, addressing civil rights, environmental policy, and systemic inequality.

“We’re seeing our neighbors being kidnapped, peaceful protesters being assaulted and murdered, our civil rights being stripped, resources to fight the climate crisis being cut for fossil fuels and animal agriculture destroying our planet, and people’s access to food and health care becoming a privilege for the wealthy instead of a new basic human right for all Americans,” she said last week. “It is very clear that protecting our planet and our communities is not a priority for this administration. And it’s really hard to celebrate that when we no longer feel safe in our own homes or in our streets.”

Billie’s comments have resonated widely, particularly among younger fans who view her as one of the few major pop stars consistently willing to take a stand on political and social issues.

She’s not alone, though. Over the weekend, several high-profile celebrities used their own platforms to speak out. Natalie Portman addressed what she described as the “brutality of ICE” during the 2026 Sundance Film Festival. Olivia Wilde made a statement by wearing an “ICE Out” pin at the event, while Zoey Deutch also spoke publicly about recent developments.

Still, Billie’s frustration appears aimed at the many public figures who have remained quiet. Her message underscores a growing expectation that celebrities—especially those with massive platforms—use their influence during moments of crisis.

As conversations around activism, accountability, and public responsibility continue to evolve, Billie Eilish remains firmly positioned on the side of speaking up, even when it’s uncomfortable.
