A Met Gala staple will not be in attendance this year.
Blue Lively has confirmed that she will not be at the 2023 Met Gala.
The 35-year-old A Simple Favor actress shared the news while at the grand re-opening of the Tiffany & Co. Fifth Avenue store in NYC on Thursday (April 27). When asked by outlets if fans will see her walking the red carpet at the prestigious event, she replied:
“You will not.”
She went on to add:
“But I will be watching!”
Blake was complimented on the stunning gown she donned at last year’s event, to which she said:
“Thank you, that’s very sweet. I’ll be wearing that on my couch on Monday.”
Blake missing this year’s gala is a bit of a surprise to fans, as the event is honoring Karl Lagerfeld. Blake was very close with the Chanel designer.
The two even attended the Met Gala together in 2011.
