Demi Lovato is stepping into her next chapter with a sense of clarity—and a noticeably lighter energy.

While promoting her new cookbook, One Plate at a Time: Recipes for Finding Freedom with Food, the singer opened up about her upcoming It’s Not That Deep tour during a conversation with Eli Rallo at 92NY in New York City. And if there’s one word that defines this era, it’s celebration.

“It’s very celebratory, very fun,” she said. “I mean, that was really what the essence of the album was, was a reflection of where I’m at in my life today, which is I’m happier than ever, and I wanted my music to reflect that.”

The tour marks Lovato’s return to the road after several years away—an experience she admits comes with a mix of emotions.

She shared that she’s “a little overwhelmed, a little nervous,” but also “very, very, very excited.”

“I can’t wait to see everybody on the road,” the “Sorry Not Sorry” singer said.

Fans can expect a setlist that bridges both past and present, with Lovato confirming she’ll perform new material alongside familiar favorites.

“I can’t wait to play music from It’s Not That Deep, but also songs that you are all already familiar with,” she continued.

Demi also teased that there is “potential” for her to play “even newer music.”

Released in October 2025, It’s Not That Deep marked a tonal shift for Lovato—one that leaned into self-assurance, playfulness, and a more relaxed perspective on life and career. That shift now extends into her live performances, which are shaping up to reflect not just her evolution as an artist, but as a person.

The tour officially kicks off April 13 in Orlando, Florida, launching what promises to be a vibrant, fan-forward experience.
