Finneas is finally publicly commenting on his sister Billie Eilish’s age gap with her boyfriend, Jesse Rutherford.
Jesse, 31, is 10 years older than Billie, 21. The two went public with their romance last month and sparked controversy, with many people taking issue with the age gap between the two.
Now, Finneas has addressed this age gap via a TikTok that called out Billie and Jesse’s relationship.
In a TikTok clip which he posted to his account, Finneas explained that he did not like the current Trent of TikTok’ers tricking their parents into thinking that a famous star had already passed away.
A TikTok user stitched Finneas’ video and stated:
“Your sister’s dating a 31 year old man and your music is s-tty.”
Finneas saw the video that the user made. He took to the comments section to respond. Here’s what he wrote:
“I want my sister to be happy and safe and she is a 21 year old adult perfectly entitled to make her own life decisions.”
