Paul Mescal is speaking his mind about all the speculations on his personal life.
One aspect of his private life that drew a lot of attention from the public was when he started dating Phoebe Bridgers back in 2021. Rumors even circulated that the then-couple had gotten engaged.
Just a year later, Phoebe was seen spending time with Bo Bridgers, which sparked speculations she she and Paul had ended their relationship.
Now, the 27-year-old actor is opening up about why he feels all the talk and speculations are hurtful.
Speaking to harper’s Bazaar, he said:
“If I’m going to make TV shows like Normal People, there’s going to be an appetite from the world. Eighty percent of that is palatable.
And then 20 percent of it is devastating.”
He explained:
“The stuff that hurts is the personal stuff. It’s nobody else’s business and should never be commented on because it’s indecent. And it’s unkind.”
Paul candidly stated:
“Honest answer, it makes me angry… It’s the entitlement to the information that people expect that just drives me f*cking mad.”
