Jesy Nelson is opening up about one of the most challenging chapters of her life — with honesty, vulnerability, and unwavering focus on what matters most.

The former Little Mix member confirmed that she and fiancé Zion Foster have split, following what she described as a deeply traumatic period after welcoming their twin daughters, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe. The girls, now eight months old, were recently diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), a rare genetic condition.

“We have been through such a traumatic experience and for us, our girls are our main priority and our main focus,” Jesy told Daily Mail.

“We want to give them the most positive, happy and uplifting time and energy and because we have both been through such a traumatic experience, the energy wasn’t right between us, which is understandable.”

Jesy emphasized that while their romantic relationship has ended, their partnership as parents remains strong.

“We are still friends and we are still united in co-parenting our daughters, they are our main focus, that’s all we can do, be the best possible parents we can right now,” she explained.

Last month, Jesy tearfully shared that Ocean and Story’s SMA diagnosis means they will most likely never walk — a revelation that resonated deeply with fans and sparked an outpouring of support.

“I am taking each day as it comes because I feel like right now, especially with the girls’ diagnosis, it’s all I can really do. If I try to look too far into the future, I will drive myself crazy,” she added.

Jesy and Zion were first linked in early 2022 and later collaborated musically. They welcomed their daughters, then got engaged four months later in September. What followed was a period of profound emotional strain — one that ultimately reshaped their relationship.

Through it all, Jesy’s focus has remained clear: protecting her children, honoring her truth, and moving forward with compassion — for herself and for Zion.

It’s a story marked not by failure, but by resilience, maturity, and love redefined.
