Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially married.

After months of anticipation, endless speculation and one of the most closely watched engagement periods in recent pop culture history, the global music superstar and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end exchanged vows during a lavish ceremony at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Friday, July 3.

The couple, both 36, celebrated the milestone with hundreds of family members, close friends and fellow celebrities – the guest list was rumored to be over 1000 – in an event that transformed one of the world’s most famous arenas into an elegant garden-inspired wedding venue.

Representatives for Swift confirmed the marriage on the evening of July 3.

“The bride and groom’s wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom. This is the designer’s first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. Their shoes were custom made by Christian Louboutin and the bride wore Cartier jewelry,” Swift’s representative said in a statement.

The statement also revealed that the couple skipped traditional wedding parties in favor of a more personal approach.

“Taylor & Travis did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, her brother Austin Swift served as Taylor’s Man of Honor and Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man. The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler.”

According to People, guests entered an arena that looked almost unrecognizable from its usual concert and sporting event setup.

“It looked like a forest,” one insider told the publication, describing an elaborate design featuring towering trees, lush ferns and white-covered seating throughout the venue.

The ceremony itself reportedly took place on a specially constructed stage where Swift made her entrance before exchanging deeply personal vows with Kelce.

According to the same source, the couple each read approximately 20 minutes of handwritten vows from matching gold books.

Guests also discovered embroidered handkerchiefs waiting at their seats, thoughtfully provided for what many anticipated would be an emotional evening.

Following the ceremony, the celebration continued inside an equally transformed reception space.

“After the ceremony, Taylor’s mom invited everyone into the reception room where a stage was set up,” the insider shared.

Music naturally played a central role throughout the evening.

According to reports, Paul McCartney performed The Beatles classic “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” while Stevie Nicks was also among the evening’s featured performers, adding another unforgettable moment to an already extraordinary celebration.

Guests reportedly enjoyed an expansive selection of food stations offering Italian cuisine, sushi and passed hors d’oeuvres.

“There were bars everywhere,” the source added, noting that despite the enormous size of Madison Square Garden, “It was very crowded!”

Although hosting a wedding inside one of America’s most famous arenas might seem unconventional, the venue reflected both halves of the couple’s story.

Madison Square Garden has long stood at the crossroads of world-class concerts and major sporting events—two worlds Swift and Kelce have each dominated throughout their careers.

According to previously filed city permits, preparations for the celebration extended well beyond the building itself.

Dora Pekec, spokesperson for New York City’s Street Activity Office, confirmed that permits had been approved for temporary structures outside the arena to accommodate the large-scale event and its logistical requirements.

Ahead of the wedding, San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle also revealed one request guests received from the couple.

“Absolutely no gifts.”

Instead, reports indicate the couple focused on celebrating with the people closest to them.

The guest list reflected that philosophy while also reading like a who’s who of entertainment, sports and business.

Among those reported to have attended were Ed Sheeran, Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Sabrina Carpenter, Bradley Cooper, Dakota Johnson, Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt, Emma Stone, Jack Antonoff, Gigi Hadid, Zoë Kravitz, Hugh Grant, Camila Cabello, Stephen Colbert, Conan O’Brien, Millie Bobby Brown, Ice Spice, Paul Rudd, Seth Meyers and Gracie Abrams.

Other attendees reportedly included Steven Spielberg, Sacha Baron Cohen, Ethan Hawke, Adam Aron, Bob Iger and many more.

Several guests later described the evening as surprisingly intimate despite its remarkable scale.

Filmmaker Joseph Kahn wrote on Instagram that the celebration “was so much funnier and emotional than expected, and as big as it was, it also felt very intimate.”

During Good Morning America, Robin Roberts echoed that sentiment before asking her co-hosts, “It really was intimate, wasn’t it, guys?”

George Stephanopoulos agreed.

“It was as intimate as it could possibly be, given it was Madison Square Garden. It was really this garden inside the Garden, which was so beautiful.”

He also shared that Swift and Kelce read their vows from “little books,” while Roberts confirmed Stevie Nicks’ performance during the reception.

Actor Niecy Nash-Betts later reflected on the evening through social media, writing that the “love in the room was palpable” and that “from beginning to end no detail was spared.”

Country star Kelsea Ballerini also praised the celebration, calling it the “most beautiful wedding” and admitting she was “still crying and dancing.”

Another memorable keepsake quickly became a fan favorite after guests began sharing photos online.

Attendees received ivory embroidered handkerchiefs featuring the couple’s intertwined initials alongside the lyric, “So it’s gonna be forever…,” from Swift’s hit “Blank Space,” as well as the wedding date and New York City location.

Before saying “I do,” Swift and Kelce also made headlines for a different reason.

In the days leading up to the ceremony, the couple donated $26 million to more than 20 charitable organizations supporting food security, children’s healthcare, education, youth programs and community services across the United States.

Their generosity added another meaningful chapter to a wedding weekend already destined to become one of the biggest entertainment stories of the year.

Three years after Kelce famously tried—and failed—to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number during her Eras Tour stop at Arrowhead Stadium, the couple have officially written the next chapter of their love story.

From a chance connection sparked by a friendship bracelet to one of the most talked-about weddings in modern pop culture, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s journey has come full circle—and, fittingly, they celebrated it surrounded by the people who helped shape that story along the way.
