Actor Keegan Allen is recovering after being assaulted and robbed at gunpoint outside a West Hollywood grocery store.
The 37-year-old Pretty Little Liars star took to social media shortly after the incident to share video footage of himself visibly bleeding from a head wound outside the Laurel Supply market. In the video, Allen documented the immediate aftermath while detailing how two masked assailants confronted him in the parking area.
“These two dudes hit me in the head and pointed a gun at me with a knife and then took off. They had masks on and took my watch. They took my watch. Dammit,” Allen expressed directly to the camera, alongside surveillance clips capturing the confrontation.
Elaborating further in his accompanying post caption, Allen voiced frustration over local public safety conditions while expressing gratitude that the encounter did not escalate further.
“West Hollywood is not safe anymore. Robbed at gunpoint and knifepoint by two young men that threatened to KILL me over my watch and would have! God said no tonight. My life for a watch,” Allen wrote.
Addressing municipal security infrastructure, he added: “Will update more soon. Let’s hope all these flock cameras that @karenbassla @gavinnewsom and everyone thinks will stop crime can find these very dangerous criminals. God bless.”
Roughly five hours following the initial post, Allen responded to a concerned follower who urged him to seek immediate medical treatment for his head injury.
“I’m def concussed and at hospital,” Allen confirmed.
Law enforcement authorities have not yet released public statements regarding suspects or active leads in the investigation.
