On Monday (May 1), the stars came out in style at the 2023 Met Gala. It was an evening of fashion standouts and memorable looks — and a case of two celebs wearing the same dress!
Olivia Wilde hit the red carpet in Chloe’s infamous violin dress… same as Margaret Zhang.
Each styled the dress differently, with Margaret in the original black and Olivia in the reimagined white. They accessorized differently as well. Still, there was no denying that it was the same violin dress designed by Karl Lagerfeld during his tenure at Chloe.
When Olivia was made aware that Margaret, who is the editor in chief for Vogue China, wore the same dress she did at the gala, the actress / director had a brilliant response.
She took to Instagram to showcase an image showing her version of the violin dress and Margaret’s version side by side. Alongside, she wrote:
“Great minds.”
Olivia added:
“If you’re gonna twin with anyone, make it @margaretzhang.”
Margaret likewise reacted to wearing the same dress by reposting Olivia’s message with her own, saying:
“CUE THE STRINGS.”
