Perrie Edwards is speaking candidly about her journey to motherhood—including heartbreak, loss, and joy.

The 32-year-old singer and former Little Mix star joined the We Need To Talk podcast on Tuesday (August 19), where she opened up about suffering two miscarriages before welcoming her son, Axel.

Perrie recalled that her first miscarriage happened “very early” in her pregnancy, which caused some initial confusion when she went to see her doctor. “I remember going in to see my gynecologist with the reports and I was like, ‘Can you just explain to me? So, there was no baby?’” she explained. “He was like, ‘No, no, no, my darling. You’ve had a miscarriage.’”

Her second loss came at an especially demanding time—during Little Mix’s final tour. “I was thinking, ‘Oh my gosh, I can’t cancel the show. I have to go out. I have to put a brave face on; I have to keep my s— together. Hopefully it’s just the blood clot,’” she revealed, explaining that she had been experiencing bleeding before performances.

Perrie said her 24-week scan turned into the most devastating day of her life. “I think when you’re fully carrying and you’re 24 weeks, and you’ve planned out their room and all these things, it’s really hard,” she shared.

Between the miscarriages, Perrie gave birth to Axel, her “rainbow baby.” The singer lit up when speaking about him. “When you birth something that’s just half of you and half of them, it’s like, this magical being, isn’t it?” she said. She described becoming a mum as the “best feeling in the world.”

Her honesty not only shows strength but also gives a voice to so many who’ve silently carried similar losses. Perrie’s story is proof of resilience and the profound love that comes with motherhood.
