Priyanka Chopra is opening up about the age gap between her and Nick Jonas.
The 40-year-old Citadel actress and 30-year-old “Waffle House” singer tied the knot back in 2018. They welcomed a daughter named Matti in early 2022.
Now, in a new interview, she addressed the gap between their ages. She talked about her initial concerns regarding their age difference when they first starting talking, saying:
“I didn’t give it much of a chance because I was like, ‘He’s 25 years old, he’s a rockstar.
I want to get married, I want to settle down, I want to have a baby. I was 35 at the time.”
She then revealed what ultimately convinced her to give him and their relationship a chance:
“I wanted stability, and I didn’t give Nick enough credit until I went out with him on our first date.
We spent the whole evening together, and I realized my husband is just like an old soul. He’s stability in human form.”
Priyanka stated that now, the age gap isn’t something she spends time mulling over:
“I mean, I don’t think about it.
I think people think about it a lot more than I do.”
