Orlando Bloom is not just the heartthrob of the silver screen; he’s also experiencing immense support and love from his fiancée, Katy Perry. In a candid conversation with ET’s Nischelle Turner, the 47-year-old star of “Lord of the Rings” opened up about Perry’s unwavering encouragement as he embarked on his latest adventure, filming “Orlando Bloom: To the Edge,” a thrilling series documenting his daring forays into extreme sports like deep-sea diving, free rock climbing, and skydiving.

“It’s so encouraging… we’re both, I think, you know, cheerleaders for each other,” Bloom remarked, his admiration for Perry evident. “She definitely pushes me to be the best version of myself, and we both hold each other accountable as best we can.”

Bloom emphasized the importance of mutual support and growth in their nearly decade-long relationship. “That’s part of what, you know, works for us as a couple, trying to evolve,” he reflected. “Her support was, you know, obviously immensely important and always is.”

Their bond was on full display last year when Bloom reciprocated Perry’s support by attending her final show in a nearly two-year residency in Las Vegas. With their 3-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, in tow, Bloom was spotted in the crowd, dancing along as Perry delivered an emotionally charged performance.

Perry, acknowledging her partner’s steadfast presence in her life, took a moment during the show to express her gratitude, saying, “To my partner, Orlando… For being an incredible support system [and] an amazing father. I love you.”

Their journey together began in January 2016 at a Golden Globes after-party, blossoming into a beautiful romance shortly after. The couple got engaged in 2019 on Valentine’s Day, and since then, they’ve embraced their five-year engagement with the joy of parenthood, welcoming their daughter Daisy into the world in August 2020.

Bloom’s previous marriage to Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr, with whom he shares 12-year-old son Flynn, may be part of his past, but his present and future are undoubtedly intertwined with Perry and their growing family.
