Pete Davidson has been officially charged following an incident back in March where he crashed into a home in Beverly Hills.

If you can recall, on March 4 the 29-year-old Bupkis actor was driving at high speed in Beverly Hills and he lost control of the vehicle he was driving. This caused the car to jump the curb, hit a fire hydrant, and then crash into the side of a house.

At the time of the incident, Pete’s girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders was in the car with him, possibly in the passenger seat. Thankfully, nobody suffered any injuries.

On Friday (June 16), the comedian was formally charged with one misdemeanor count of reckless driving.

The L.A. County District Attorney’s Office shared in a statement to outlets:

“We believe that Mr. Davidson engaged in reckless driving, which ultimately resulted in his involvement in a serious collision into a home.

Luckily, no one was seriously injured as a result of this collision.”

The statement continued:

“We know that reckless driving can have devastating consequences. In 2022, traffic fatalities in Los Angeles have reached the highest levels seen in 20 years. This is an alarming trend that we cannot ignore.

As a result, it’s crucial that we take all allegations of reckless driving seriously and hold those responsible accountable.”

Pete’s arraignment is set for July 27.
