Almost two months since Framing Britney Spears was released and Britney Spears herself is finally speaking out about it.

The (unauthorized) documentary on the pop icon’s life was created by The New York Times and follows the pop icon’s meteoric rise to fame, how she was painted in the media, and her subsequent struggles leading up to her current circumstances – including her controversial conservatorship. The doc also touched on past interviews and her past relationships.

Since its release in early February, many celebs, including Miley Cyrus, Kacey Musgraves, Lucy Hale, Hayley Kiyoko and more, have taken to social media to show their support for Britney.

A source has previously told Entertainment Tonight that Britney was aware of the documentary about her life, although at the time, it was unclear whether she herself has seen it.

“She’s always made aware of any important new releases that pertain to her life and career, and this was no different,” the source told the outlet at the time. “She hasn’t seen the documentary because she never likes to focus on what others say about her.”

However, Britney did post some seemingly cryptic messages on social media that appeared to touch on the documentary, including reminding fans that what someone learns about others doesn’t always paint the whole picture.

“Each person has their story and their take on other people’s stories. We all have so many different bright beautiful lives,” she wrote on Instagram. “Remember, no matter what we think we know about a person’s life it is nothing compared to the actual person living behind the lens.”

On Tuesday (March 30), Britney finally addressed the documentary head-on, going on Instagram to candidly open up about living life in the spotlight.

Sharing a video of herself dancing to Aerosmith’s “Crazy,” she captioned it, “My life has always been very speculated…watched…and judged really my whole life !!! For my sanity I need to dance to @iamstevent every night of my life 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼 to feel wild and human and alive !!!”

“I have been exposed my whole life performing in front of people 😳😳😳 !!!,” she continued. “It takes a lot of strength to TRUST the universe with your real vulnerability cause I’ve always been so judged…insulted…and embarrassed by the media…and I still am till this day 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 !!!! As the world keeps on turning and life goes on, we still remain so fragile and sensitive as people !!!”

She then went on to speak directly about the doc. “I didn’t watch the documentary but from what I did see of it I was embarrassed by the light they put me in … I cried for two weeks and well …. I still cry sometimes !!!!”

“I do what I can in my own spirituality with myself to try and keep my own joy … love … and happiness ✨🙏🏼 ☀️ !!!!” she added. “Every day dancing brings me joy !!! I’m not here to be perfect … perfect is boring … I’m here to pass on kindness 💋💋💋 !!!!”
