Camila Cabello is celebrating making music history!

The “Havana” singer went on Instagram Monday (October 4) to celebrate her debut single achieving Diamond certification status.

“i am HONORED to be the first Hispanic female singer to earn a @riaa_awards Diamond single award and I hope this paves the way for many more incredible Latinx artists!!” Camila wrote on Instagram.

“thank you to my incredible co writers and producers Frank Dukes, Ali Tamposi, Andrew Watt, Pharrell, Lou Bell, Brian Lee, Starrah and Young Thug for being my collaborator on this. and thank you to my amazing fans i love y’all 🥺❤️,” she added.

A Gold (500,000 record sales) and Platinum (1 Million record sales) Award from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has become a benchmark of success for any artist. Diamond awards are a little harder to come by – artists have to achieve 10 MILLION record sales to earn it!

“Havana” is the 62nd Diamond certified single in RIAA’s more than 60 years in the music industry and Camila makes history as the first Hispanic female singer to achieve the feat. She is one of only two female Latin artists to achieve Diamond status, joining Cardi B, who is of Trinidadian and Dominican descent, in the ranks. Cardi’s single “Bodak Yellow” reached Diamond status in March of this year, also making history as the first female rapper to achieve the Diamond single award.

Big congratulations to these ladies!

It’s been a big week for Camila, who is fresh off making her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week. The 22-year-old songstress walked the catwalk for L’Oreal’s Le Defile L’Oreal Paris not one but twice!

She also shared an inspiring message on the meaning of beauty on Instagram.

“genuinely had SO much fun walking for the first time in a runway show with these strong and inspiring women last night – they were so kind, so funny, and so beautiful inside and out ! this was my first fashion show and I’m so grateful it was with L’Oréal where the definition of beauty has nothing to do with what you look like and everything to do with how beautiful you feel,” Camila wrote on Instagram Saturday (October 2), a few days after her fashion show debut.

“Beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, colors, and ages- obviously I remember hearing ‘because you’re worth it’ in commercials since I was young, but as I’m finding my way and becoming a woman, I realize how important that phrase really is – to remind yourself that you’re worth asking for what you need, fighting through life’s obstacles and challenges and struggles, you’re worth battling fears and doubts because you’re worth it , and you’re worthy of happiness , and love, and everything good. Love being a part of the @lorealmakeup family.”
