Dylan Sprouse is returning to his TV roots!

According to Variety, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody star has joined the cast of Mindy Kaling’s new comedy on HBO Max called The Sex Lives of College Girls.

He’ll be starring alongside Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur, Reneé Rapp and Alyah Chanelle Scott who play roommates in the series. Mindy will executive produce and co-write the show with showrunner Justin Noble. It’s going to be 13 episodes of Dylan playing Nico, a junior at Essex College who interacts with the four roommates.

Dylan last lit up our small screens almost 10 years ago with his antics on The Suite Life On Deck, which ended back in 2011. However, he hasn’t been totally off the radar – he’s starred in a few movies since, like the 2018 comedy Banana Split, and most recently the romantic drama After We Collided. He also played Camila Cabello’s love interest in the music video for her 2018 track “Consequences” as well as lent his voice for the video game Kingdom Hearts III.

He’s also taken the time to pursue some of his not-so-usual interests – like his mead-making facility in Brooklyn called Allwise Meadery. Plus, he and girlfriend Barbara Palvin launched a quarantine series on Instagram called Breaking Ground.

Dylan also went on social media to announce the happy news.

“Been a while since I’ve done a series…roughly 10 years. But it’s because I was hoping for a good one, and this seems like a great one. Happy to be onboard alongside a great cast and crew. Thankful today,” he wrote on Instagram Wednesday (December 16).
