Elliot Page is ready for summer!
The Umbrella Academy star took to Instagram on Monday (May 24) to share a shirtless poolside photo – and showed off his abs while he was at it. Beaming a huge smile, Elliot wore his new burgundy swim trunks along with a navy cap and sunnies for the photo.
“Trans bb’s first swim trunks #transjoy #transisbeautiful,” he wrote in the caption.
The photo is Elliot’s first time to pose shirtless since having top surgery, which according to the Mayo Clinic, is surgical procedure to remove breast tissue, a.k.a. masculinizing chest surgery. The post has since gotten a lot of love from fellow celebs.

“You look amazing … And most of all happy ♥️,” Nina Dobrev wrote.
“Dude I see why you crushed me on that workout!” his co-star Justin Cornwell praised.
Elliot publicly came out as transgender in December – around the time he’d been recovering from his top surgery. In his March interview with TIME magazine, he got candid about how he’d always “felt like a boy” growing up, how he’d hoped to be one someday.
He also sat down with Oprah Winfrey on The Oprah Conversation and explained his decision to open up about his health information.
“I wanted to talk about it for a couple of reasons,” Elliot told the host. “I wanted to share with people just how much it has changed my life. And I want people to know that not only has it been life changing for me, I do believe it is life saving and it’s the case for so many people… and because there is such an attack on trans health care right now, when already there is such a lack of access or trans people who don’t even want to go to the doctor.”
Elliot shared his “joy and excitement” with Vanity Fair as well, telling the magazine, “For the first time in, I don’t even know how long, [I am] really just being able to sit by myself, be on my own, be productive, and be creative. It’s such an oversimplification to say it this way, but I’m comfortable.”
