For 16 seasons, Adam Levine has been one of the mainstays of The Voice – in fact, he’s one of the OG coaches in the competition. But, following his departure from the show in 2019, it looks like the Maroon 5 frontman isn’t looking back.

Last week, Adam spent some time on IG Stories answering questions from fans. When one fan asked “Come back to the Voice?” he responded simply: “No thank you?”

One of the show’s highlights is the playful banter between Adam and his one-time fellow coach Blake Shelton. Although Adam has expressed that he won’t be returning to the show, he hilariously kept up the spirit of their bromance going, “Blake who?” or “Who is this Blake you speak of?” when fans would ask him questions about Blake.

In May 2019, fans were shocked when The Voice host Carson Daly announced that Adam was leaving the show.

Following the announcement, Adam soon posted a message on social media thanking those he worked with on the show over the years, as well as “all of the loyal The Voice fans” for their support.

His message also included a shoutout to Blake, where he got kinda mushy about their bromance. “I couldn’t hide my love for you if I tried. Seriously. I tried. Can’t do it. Our friendship is and always will be one for the books. Whatever this whole surreal experience was, Im just happy I got to experience it with you. You’re my brother for life.”

However, in his post, Adam also noted that for him, it was “time to move on.”

BUT…there’s still hope for a The Voice reunion happening – although it may not be onscreen.

Blake recently talked about how he wants Adam to be at his wedding to Gwen Stefani. “He may not like it, but Adam Levine’s gonna have to get the band together and come and play our wedding,” he told Seth Myers on his late night show.

He even referenced one of Maroon 5’s music videos, figuring Adam owes him enough to play at their wedding. “I’ve already seen a music video where they crash people’s weddings and he owes me a lot for just putting up with him over the years. So I think we can get Adam to come be our wedding band,” Blake quipped.
