Zendaya took home a historic win from the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards over the weekend – she became the youngest person to win the Emmy for Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role in Euphoria.
The awards ceremony was held virtually due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic – and the nominees all joined the telecast from the safety of their own homes. She was surrounded by her family and her team, who all burst into cheer when her name was announced.
She later opened up about her big win, telling Entertainment Tonight, “It’s…I mean, beyond. I don’t even know how to describe how I feel right now. I’m incredibly grateful and honored.”
“We had Mom over here, we had my sister over here, we had my dad over here, my nieces, the whole shebang. Probably all of them [were excited], to be honest,” Zendaya continued. “I’ll have to watch it back and see everybody’s reactions myself.”
The 24-year-old actress also celebrated the big win on social media, sharing a photo of herself holding up her Emmy.
“Still don’t really have any words….feeling so much love right now, thank you,” she captioned the photo.
Her post has since gotten a lot of love from friends, colleagues, and fans, like Camila Cabello who commented, “Congratulations ! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ You were brilliant.”

Her Euphoria co-stars, Hunter Schafer, Sydney Sweeney, and Storm Reid, also hopped on the comments section to congratulate her.
Another co-star – and rumored former flame – congratulated Z on his Instagram Story.
“Congratulations captain 🖤 @zendaya.” Jacob Elordi captioned a photo of Zendaya as Rue, adding, “Bravo 💜.”
Dating speculations swirled around the two since they were spotted vacationing together, along with some friends, in Greece last year. In February of this year they were spotted kissing in in the streets of New York City.
However, fast forward to several months later, and Jacob appears to have a new lady love.
The Kissing Booth star has been sparking romance rumors with Kaia Gerber after they were spotted out and about together multiple times – including having dinner at Nobu restaurant in Malibu, California and holding hands strolling around NYC earlier this month.
Most recently, Jacob on a weekend trip with Kaia in Los Cabos, Mexico – with Kaia’s parents, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber!
