Jamie Foxx’s daughter Corinne Fox is clearing up the rumors.

The 29-year-old actress has addressed the rumors about her father’s health, specifically the reports that came out stating their family is “preparing for the worst.”

Outlets reported last week that Jamie was still in the hospital, and that his condition is not improving. The 55-year-old star was hospitalized back in early April for an unspecified “medical condition.”

On Friday (May 12), Corinne took to social media to deny the rumors and provide a new update on Jamie’s health. She wrote on her Instagram Story:

“Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating.

In fact, he was playing pickle ball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support. We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!”

Now, it has been announced that Jamie and Corinne are set to host a new musical celebrity game show. The father-daughter duo will be hosting We Are Family. The show will feature one celebrity every episode along with a non-famous relative of theirs. The identity of the celebrity will not be revealed until there is a correct guess on who they are.

Allison Wallach, president of unscripted programming for Fox Entertainment, said in a statement:

“Jamie and Corinne are important partners to the Fox Family. Their boundless energy and charming interplay with contestants are irresistible, which make them the perfect hosts of We Are family. This series joins Fox’s fast-growing list of premium music-centric competition series.”

Jamie and Corinne said in a joint statement about their new project:

“We are thrilled to be developing We Are family with Jeff Apploff and our friends at Fox Entertainment after so much success with six seasons of Beat Shazam.

We hope this show brings as much fun to audiences at home as we’ve had creating it when it premieres next year.”
