Taking to his Instagram, Kanye shared a post entirely scripted in Hebrew. The Jerusalem Post did the honors of translating, revealing the full English version of his message.
In his words, Kanye expressed, “I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for my unplanned outburst caused by my words or actions. It was never my intent to inflict hurt or show disrespect, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused. I am committed to introspection and learning from this episode to foster greater sensitivity and understanding in the future. Your forgiveness means a lot to me, and I am dedicated to making things right and advocating for unity.”
This public gesture comes after Kanye faced repercussions for his actions. He had been banned from Twitter due to antisemitic remarks made last year, including a statement about going “death con 3 on Jewish people.” He later faced questions about whether he wished harm upon the Jewish community.
Additionally, his comments concerning Hitler and the Nazi party raised eyebrows for their disturbing nature. This recent apology seems to mark a shift in Kanye’s approach, aiming for reconciliation and a commitment to promoting harmony among communities.
