Kelsea Ballerini is spilling the tea on her real-life romance.

The 30-year-old country singer candidly spoke about her relationship with Outer Banks actor Chase Stokes in her appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast.

Kelsea and Chase started dating back in January 2023. The two have since made their red carpet debut as a couple at the CMT Music Awards, been spotted out and about looking all loved up, and gushed about each other in several interviews.

Now, on Call Her Daddy, Kelsea shared intimate details about their romance, including how they met and how things are going in the bedroom.

She revealed on the podcast that she shot her shot, and this is what led to them meeting for the first time IRL:

I slid in the DMs December 1 [2022]. 1:30am. Period.”

They then spoke over text and FaceTime before they finally met in person on January 7, 2023. Their first date, Kelsea shared, was supposed to be January 8, but Kelsea happened to be in Los Angeles on the 7th and told Chase:

“Crazy that I’m here, and we’re not in the same room.”

He swiftly replied:

“Drop your pin.”

Kelsea revealed of their first real-life meeting:

“He hoped out of his Bronco, and he did not say a word to me… and he grabbed my face and he kissed me, and he pulled my face away and he said, ‘Thank God you’re real.’”

She also spoke about getting matching tattoos with him, jokingly saying:

‘We have matching tattoos, so we can’t break up. We have little Virgos.

I used to really resent my Virgo-ness because to me it was very control freak, just needing power in a lot of situations in relationships. And he’s a Virgo too, and he and I have really allowed ourselves to love that part of ourselves and each other: Just the need to communicate well and be loyal.”

In case you didn’t know, Kelsea and Chase have September birthdays, just four days apart!

Kelsea also spoke about Chase’s relationship with Madeline Cline. Chase and Madeline star together on Outer Banks and had a very public relationship from June 2020 to November 2021. Kelsea shared where she stands with Madeline, saying:

“I think they have a beautiful working relationship, and I’m excited to hang with her. I met her and I talked to her, and she’s lovely. And I think she’s wildly talented.

At the end of the day, I’m a girl’s girl. I don’t buy into the (nonsense), especially the loud echo chamber of pop culture trying to make a thing out of nothing. I don’t feel insecure with my relationship, and I don’t feel insecure about myself.”

She said that Chase was “written as a woman,” gushing:

“He’s like the most emotionally intelligent man I’ve ever met in my life. I keep telling him he’s a man written by a woman ’cause he was raised by his mom, and he’s very close with his sister. He’s just so in tune with his emotions and is not afraid to be vulnerable.

We both obviously have come off of public breakups and we both didn’t want to waste each other’s time. But we’re both also hopeless romantics.”

And she also coyly shared some details about their sex life, sharing that she and Chase are “having a nice time” in the bedroom. Kelsea said that in previous relationships, she had felt like sex was mostly just to make her partner happy emphasizing:

“My experience with it was very performative and for the other person. And it don’t be like that anymore.

I didn’t understand how it could be a real connector in a relationship. I never understood that. I always thought that it was just something that you did because that’s who you do it with. You know?

And, no, no, no — now I realize it’s a connector for people.”
