Megan Fox is speaking out after facing backlash for asking for help for a friend.

Last week, the 37-year-old Jennifer’s Body star received major criticism when she used her social media platforms to request her fans to make a donation to a GoFundMe page. The GoFundMe page is dedicated to helping her friend and nail technician Brittney Boyce cover medical expenses for her father, who is ill.

Many took issue with what Megan did, and criticized her choosing to share the GoFundMe rather than just covering the costs herself for her friend.

Following the backlash directed her way, Megan took to social media to clap back. She wrote on her Instagram Story:

“Hey weirdos. Do any of you have the emotional intelligence to consider that maybe Brit doesn’t want her celebrity clients donating large sums of money to her because it creates a dynamic in her working relationships that makes her uncomfortable?”

She went on to say:

“I just obliged her request. Anything she needs from me personally she will ask and I will do it privately. One thing you’re not going to accuse me of is being miserly or lacking generosity. So try again another day (probably tmrw!) with some different bulls**t you bunch of psychos.”

The goal on the GoFundMe was originally set at $30,000. It is now at $60,000. As of writing, almost $12,000 has been raised.
