Millie Bobby Brown is setting boundaries.

Over the weekend, fans were surprised to see that Millie’s hugely popular TikTok account, which was followed by over 16 million people, appears to have vanished on the platform.

It’s not clear if Millie has deleted the account permanently or is just taking a break. However, she did post a cryptic message on her Instagram Story shortly after that may provide clues as to the reason why.

“Realising that surrounding yourself with positivity is the happiest way of living! No hate and only love. Remember to be kind… THANK YOU X” read the post.

On Monday (November 30), the Stranger Things star also took to Instagram Stories with video asking fans to respect boundaries.

Talking about a fan encounter that left her feeling “uncomfortable and disrespected” – the fan filmed her without permission while she was out Christmas shopping with her mom – she shared, “Hi everyone. So, I just went shopping with my mum for Christmas, and a girl came up to me and asked if I was whoever, and I said, you know, ‘yes.’ And she said, ‘Can I take a video of you?’ I said, ‘Um, no.’ But why would anyone wanting to be taking a video of me, you know? It’s not like of the both of us, of me. At the end of the day, I don’t need to justify it to anyone. If I don’t want to be taken a video of, I don’t have to be.”

“I was paying, and she walked past me, and began to video me again. And I said, ‘I’m a human being,’” Millie continued, before tearing up. “What more can I ask from you? I asked her, I asked her and she was like, ‘So I can’t take a video of a human being?’ And I said, ‘No, not when I said no!’ It just makes me upset when people try and push the boundary, and I just wish people were more respectful.”

“I’m still trying to navigate this all, and it’s still overwhelming. I will take a picture with you, but when you push the boundary, and you try and fight me on it, where are my rights to say no?” she went on. “I’m making this video to say you have to show more respect for others, no matter who they are, what they do. Show respect, human being to human being. It’s just manners.”

It’s still unclear if the encounter also led to her decision to delete her TikTok account. The video has since disappeared from the platform, but she later followed it up with a note assuring fans that she’s okay.

“I am totally fine now. But was emotional in the moment because I felt uncomfortable and disrespected,” she shared, adding, “It’s important to set your boundaries and to speak up. I love you guys. Be kind to one and other!! xx”
