Newlyweds Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez have just set a new record on social media – as of Friday (May 28), their wedding photos have become the most-liked photo that features people.
Ari gave fans a glimpse into her and Dalton’s big day earlier this week – and have already racked up an impressive 25.4 million likes as of the writing of this article.
The only other posts nearing those numbers are XXXTentacion’s final post before his death, which had 24.6 million likes, and Billie Eilish’s reveal of her blonde new ‘do, which got over 23 million likes from fans.
There’s still one photo that holds the record for most-liked post on Instagram though – the @world_record_egg’s “selfie,” which has 55 million likes.
Ari and Dalton said “I do” in an intimate ceremony in their Montecito home on May 15, attended by just less than 20 people. Ari made a gorgeous bride in her custom Vera Wang wedding gown – a custom lily-white silk charmeuse empire waist column gown topped with a shoulder-length hand-pleated bubble veil, and completed with custom Guiseppe Zanotti platform heels and pearl and diamond jewellery. Dalton, on the otherhand, looked dapper in a Tom Ford suit.
According to Vogue, Ari’s parents, mom Joan Grande and dad Ed Butera, both walked her down the aisle, which “was a personal high point and one of the most special moments for the bride.”
They transformed their home into a dreamy romantic venue, with tons of flowers hanging from the ceilings and lots of candles giving off a soft glow. The table arrangements also featured plenty of lush greenery that added to the ambiance.
Just last night, Ari made her first public appearance since tying the knot at the 2021 iHeartRadio Awards – and eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot what appears to be a wedding ring on her left hand during her performance of “Save Your Tears” with The Weeknd.
